A very well-bred Holstein horse out of a proven sire line, that has produced many top horses like Carthago, Cento, Sandro and Loreana. The dam line [Holstein nr. 741] produces strong performers, among others Cardenio, Ollipop and Classido.

This year after many successful years Cardento finished his sporting career, he is now fully available for breeding. He has proven himself in sport, with rider P. Eriksson he was a solid member of the Swedish team at the big shows. He received a Silver medal at the World Championships, European Championships and at the Olympics in 2004. He won the Nationscup of Rome, Drammen and Ikast. Individually he won the Grand Prix of Holte, Helsingborg, Angelholm, Gera , Kungsbacke [2x] and took 2nd place in Arhus. He also became 6th in the Worldcup Qualifier of Gotenborg, 4th place in the German Classics of Hannover and 6th place in the Grand Prix of Stockholm.

His first offspring breakthrough at international level: Classic Lady won the World Championship for 7 years old horses in Lanaken 2006, she has also been Swedish Champion of the 5 years old horses. Daughter Cardelia won the Grand Prix of Hinderhagen and Candy is successful at the International young horses circuit with Christian Ahlman. Based on the good performances of his offspring Cardento is now titled ‘Elite’. He also won the Breeders Trophy for being the best Swedish breeding stallion in 2005 and 2006. Four years in a row, Cardento sired the Champion of the 3 year old Jumping Champion of Sweden. In 2004 son Captain became reserve Champion of the 7-year olds at the CSI of Helsinki. At the CSI Mechelen 2003 a 2-years old mare became Champion of the Free jumping competition.
